Rebecca Cronin

Certified Nurse Midwife

I grew up in Fort Wayne and Northwest Ohio. I graduated from Blackhawk Christian High school and went on to complete nursing school at the University of Saint Francis. As the daughter of a nurse, I was always drawn to caring for others and began volunteering at Dupont Hospital in pediatrics while still in high school. It was throughout nursing school that I felt a calling to midwifery and began working in labor and delivery as a student nurse.

I married my high school sweetheart, Anthony. After our wedding, we built a house and firmly planted ourselves in Northeast Indiana.

Through ten years of serving women as a labor and delivery nurse, I realized how prenatal care, support, and education affected a family’s childbirth and breastfeeding experience and decided to pursue women’s health as a nurse-midwife. After much prayer and encouragement from my family, I returned to school for her bachelor’s degree in 2014 and continued on to midwifery studies, earning a Master’s of Science in Nursing specializing in Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in early 2017.

My husband and I have two sons and a daughter and love to spend time playing and learning as a family. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to positively impact her community and empower women to achieve wellness in birth and beyond as a part of the Fertility and Midwifery Care Center.
