I am so thankful to have been placed in Marianne’s care for the birth of our rainbow baby. Although baby A pretty well delivered herself, I know, no matter who answered the phone that night, I would have been in amazing care. But there was something calming and reassuring hearing Marianne’s voice on the other end of the phone. You know, when you just need to hear your mom’s voice? When something isn’t sitting right with your heart, or when you need her support and hearing her voice makes all the things better? When Marianne answered, I felt like my mom was on the other end of the phone. All of a sudden, I was able to work through those hard contractions, and letting her know the details of what was happening. Everything felt okay. When we got to the Birth Center there she was, standing there telling me to get into the building, pants around my ankles and all! I did it because of her assurance and support. It was all the comfort I needed (besides that of my husband). She also continued this in the weeks afterward. She was there when I needed her and she made sure I had the resources I needed when she wasn’t available or able to help. Because of God’s hands and her heart I had the best birth and postpartum I could have asked for.
From losing our Baby S at 20 weeks to enjoying my pregnancy and birth of Baby A with everyone at FMCC and HFBC, I am truly thankful to be part of your practices. There isn’t enough love and praise to give to you specifically. I hope you know you’re appreciated beyond the words on this paper.
Love…love…love,
Allisa and Family*
